Rodent team

The rodent facility is designed to house both rats and mice, with a maximum capacity of 2,500 animals. It meets all regulatory requirements regarding animal welfare, safety, and traceability.

  • A dedicated room for rodent ethology

Identification, Traceability, and Specialized Equipment

Identification and traceability of the animals are ensured through electronic microchipping of the mice. The facility features a management software system accessible to users, allowing for animal list consultation, breeding tracking, and the recording and analysis of genotyping results. Environmental parameters, specifically humidity and temperature in each room, are digitally monitored and recorded to guarantee controlled and optimal housing conditions.

The facility is equipped with specialized hardware, including:

  • An anesthesia station
  • A stereotaxic apparatus
  • A peristaltic pump
  • Equipment dedicated to behavioral testing

Experimental Expertise

All staff members are trained in both husbandry systems and the use of animals for scientific purposes, in strict accordance with current regulations.

The facility supports the maintenance of numerous murine lines involved in various experiments in the fields of behavior, autism, and reproduction.
